High School and College students in Kuwait (n = 3274) were evaluated by questionnaire to determine mobile phone use (time and pattern of use) and subjective disorders. The author reports several symptoms for which a statistically significant association was observed, including burning sensations in the ear, temporal pain, headache, auricular pain, noises in the ear, numbness in the ear, hartbeat disturbances, fatigue and stress, eye discomfort, learning difficulties, sleep disturbances, difficulty concentrating, agitation, and breathing problems. Of note, children did not exhibit any greater susceptibility than adults in this study. |
