1800 MHz (GSM) exposure to mice and analysis of gene expression profiles in the brain using gene chips |
Details |
|
Balb/cj mice (n = 15) were exposed to 1800 MHz (GSM) for 1 hour at a calculated whole body average SAR of 1.09 W/kg (brain max SAR = 0.56 W/kg). Following exposure, brain tissue was collected and evaluated for gene expression profiles using a Gene Chip (Mouse Expression Array 430A with 13,152 targets). The authors report no consistent and statistically significant evidence of expression changes with exposure. The authors further emphasize that without proper evaluation, false positives in such high throughput analysis can be common. |
