Students at Univ Southampton (n = 117) were evaluated by questionnaire regarding mobile phone use as well as hearing abnormalities. The authors report that 94% of the students used mobile phones regularly, time of use ranging from 0-7 years and 0-45 minutes per day, and text messaging was more popular than voice communications. No significant correlations were observed between level of hearing, tinnitus, or balance and mobile phone use.
