900 MHz (GSM) exposure to humans and analysis of visual descrimitation performance |
Details |
|
Human volunteers (n = 33) were exposed to 900 MHz (GSM) RF for 30 minutes at a calculated SAR to the eyes of 0.22 W/kg (averaged over 1 gram) or 0.01 W/kg (averaged over 10 grams). During the 30 minute exposure period, various visual descrimination tests were performed. The 30 minute exposure testing period was replicated on second day, one week apart. The authors report no effect on althoughthere was significant inter- and intra-individual variability, but no effect of RF exposure at the levels used during the test. The authors conclude no effect of this level of RF exposure on retina or visual CNS functions. |
