Mobile phone use in the UK and geographical correlation with acoustic neuroma |
Details |
|
Cases of acoustic neuroma from 1979 through 2001 in the UK were compared to the increase in mobile phone communications to until 2005. The authors suggest no correlation in the trends, with increasing acoustic neuroma incidence in teh late 1990's associated with better diagnosis of smaller tumors.Quote: The trends in acoustic neuroma are most likely explained by changes in reporting and diagnosis and as this study illustrates, co-existing trends may be apparent for other reasons |
