Mobile phone use and acoustic neuroma in Qatar |
Details |
|
Cases of acoustic neuroma (n = 13) identified from Hamad General and Rumailah hospitals in Qatar in 2004-2005 and surveyed regarding mobile phone use. The authors could not make conclusions regarding national correlations with mobile phone use due to the lack of a national tumor registry, but did report 11 of the 13 total tumors had left cerebellopontine angle involvement, and the overall prevalence of AN from this limited study was 17.2 per million (as opposed to 14 per million in England over the last 5 years). |
