Study Type Epidemiology
Model mobile phone use in humans and accuracy of exposure assessment for epidemiologic studies
Details

Mobile phone users (Motorola employees) in several geographical areas across the US, Europe, and Malaysia were provided software modified phones that collected information on time of call and base station-regulated dynamic transmit power level. The authors report significant variations in exposure could be expected, and that simple time of exposure may not be an accurate surrogate for RF exposure. In addition, questionairre data checked against the phone records was associated with a significant recall error.
