Correlation study between smoking and mobile phone use in teenagers |
Details |
|
Teenagers in Finland were evaluated for correlations between smoking and mobile phone use. The authors used cumulative logistic regression and report no positive association between smoking and cell phone use. In a related study, a positive association was found between mobile phone use and unhealthy behaviors (smoking, snuffing, alcohol) in a representative sample of 14 to 16 year olds (N=3485). The authors conclude that intensive mobile phone use seems to be part of the same health-related lifestyle as health compromising behaviours |
