900 MHz (GSM) to humans and analysis of EEG and sleep |
Details |
|
Healthy, male humans (20 - 44 years old) were exposed to 900 MHz RF (GSM) 8h per night at 6 consecutive nights. Electrical field strength 190 mV/m; mean whole body SAR value = 24 mW/kg. Electrophysiological data (EEG-, EMG- and EOG) were recorded, neuropsychological tests (vigilance tasks, memory tasks) performed and alertness during the day and subjective sleep quality during the evening. No effects by means of classical sleep analysis and no failing in cognition could be observed. Spectral parameters changed significantly during the Non-REM- and REM-phase in the control group against the exposure group. Start date April 1998, end date May 2000 |
