VDU exposure to workers and analysis of melatonin and ACTH levels |
Details |
|
Office workers (n = 47) were examined during regular work in front of a video display unit (VDU) vs. a day of leisure. The authors report a decrease in circulating melatonin and an increase in ACTH levels during work in the VDU environment, with no change during a day of leisure. The authors suggest mental strain might also contribute to changes in ACTH. The authors suggest the findings might be relevant to patients with electromagnetic sensitivity. |
