800 MHz (AMPS, CDMA) exposure to human lymphocytes and analysis of chromosome aberrations |
Details |
|
Peripheral blood cells from human volunteers (n = 8) were exposed to 800 MHz (AMPS, CDMA) mobile phone signals at SARs of 2, 5, or 10 W/kg and analyzed for chromosome aberrations. The authors report preliminary results indicating a dose dependent effect on increasing acrocentric chromosomes and altering satellite length. |

Comments |
|
In the preliminary study, the actual number of chromosome aberrations observed was low (? - no raw data provided in UNESCO presentation abstract) and the corresponding sham and control samples had no chromosome aberrations at all. |
