Theoretical modeling of RF interaction with CNS tissue |
Details |
|
Theoretical analysis of RF interaction with CNS tissue using an electrochemical model involving a neuronal phospholipid sheet to represent the plasma membrane and intercellular spaces in brain tissue. The authors state that RF fields are not sufficient to produce gradients that will directly generate action potentials or activate chemical transmitter / synaptic sites, although models that assume rectification of modulated signals and transduction into brain tissue are considered. |
