2450 MHz (CW) exposure at thermal levels to mice and analysis of basal metabolic rate changes |
Details |
|
CF1 male mice were exposed to 2450 MHz (CW) RF at up to 45 W/kg (whole body) at ambieint temperatures between 20 35 degrees C and analyzed for oxygen consumption. The authors report that above 10 W/kg at ambient temperatures of 20-24 degrees C the basal metabolic rate decreased. Exposure above 10 W/kg at ambient temperatures of 35 degrees C increased the metabolic rate. At low level exposures (1.6 W/kg whole body) at 24 and 30 degrees C a possible trend of increased metabolic rate was observed, suggesting a possible stimulation of metabolic rate. |
