Model 2450 MHz (CW) exposure at thermal levels to mice and analysis of basal metabolic rate changes
Details

CF1 male mice were exposed to 2450 MHz (CW) RF at up to 45 W/kg (whole body) at ambieint temperatures between 20 35 degrees C and analyzed for oxygen consumption. The authors report that above 10 W/kg at ambient temperatures of 20-24 degrees C the basal metabolic rate decreased. Exposure above 10 W/kg at ambient temperatures of 35 degrees C increased the metabolic rate. At low level exposures (1.6 W/kg whole body) at 24 and 30 degrees C a possible trend of increased metabolic rate was observed, suggesting a possible stimulation of metabolic rate.
