849 and 1763 MHz mobile phone use EEG in volunteers |
Details |
|
Volunteers (n = 5) were analyzed for EEG patterns during a period that included 2 minutes prior to exposure with eyes closed, 1 minute while using a mobile phone, and 1 minute post-exposure with eyes closed. The authors preliminarily report no change in EEG during any phase of the study (pre-, during, or post-exposure). The authors acknowledge the small volunteer pool and suggest the findings are very preliminary. |

Comments |
|
Exposure in these studies is very questionable; apparently mobile phone exposure in the laboratory was performed simply by letting the volunteers use a mobile phone hooked to the network with unknown power control level and unknown DTx activity. Further, the type of mobile phone also does not appear to have been consistent (different handsets used by different volunteers in the various laboratory studies) and SAR between different handsets can vary significantly. |
