2450 MHz exposure to primary murine bone marrow cells at hyperthermic levels and in combination with Misonidazole and X-rays, and analysis of SCE |
Details |
|
Primary bone marrow cells from treated dbrB tumor-bearing DBA/1J inbred mice were exposed to microwave hyperthermia as well as Misonidazole (MIS - a radiosensitizing drug) and/or X-rays and analyzed for the frequency of sister chromatid exchanges (SCE). All three treatments (MIS + delta + X) simultaneously resulted in a statistically significant increase in SCE vs. untreated tumor-bearing mice. In further studies using a s.c. implanted mammary adenocarcinoma in female DBA/1J mice, treatment with all three agents combined resulted in increased survival. |
