Study Type In Vitro
Model 2450 MHz (CW) exposure to mouse macrophages and analysis of immune related activity
Details

Peritoneal macrophages from Balb-C mice were exposed to 2450 MHz (CW) microwaves for 15 minutes at a power density of 32 mW/cm2 and analyzed for adherence, opsonization, phagocytosis, nitroblue tetrazolium reduction, and antibody-dependent cell cytotoxicity. The authors report an increase in all parameters studied, possibly / probably related to heating, and possibly a tool for stimulation of the immune system.
