Model Analysis of DNA damage, apoptosis and gene expression in cells exposed in vitro.

HL-60 cells were exposed to 400 MHz (CW) for 6 minutes at a field strength of about 50 kV/m in a GTEM cell and analyzed after 0, 24, 48 and 72 hr post-exposure for micronuclei, apoptosis, abnormal cells (necrosis), and expression of genes using an AtlasTM Human 1.2. chip array. No significant changes were observed as a result of exposure at levels 25x higher than the ICNIRP reference levels for occupational exposure
