900 MHz (GSM) and 50 Hz ELF exposure to isolated dorsal root ganglion neurons and analysis of Ca++ channels and nerve firing |
Details |
|
Primary rat sensory neurons were exposed to 900 MHz (GSM) as well as 50 Hz ELF fields and analyzed for changes in evoked and spontaneous depolarization (firing rate). The authors report increased number of action potentials followed by more rapid firing rate decreases and suggest increased opening time of calcium channels in exposed dorsal root ganglion neurons resulting in changed action current recordings |
