Occupational exposure to ultrasound, microwave, shortwave, and infrared electromagnetic devices and correlation with heart disease |
Details |
|
Male physical therapists (n=3004) that had been exposed occupationally to diathermy (ultrasound, microwave, shortwave, and infrared) and other types of non-ionizing radiation were surveyed for dose-related health conditions. An association between heart disease and exposure to shortwave (27 MHz) radiation was the only consistently significant finding when high and low exposure groups were compared. |
