900 MHz (GSM) exposure to human volunteers and analysis of hearing |
Details |
|
Human volunteers (n = 30) were exposed to 900 MHz (GSM) RF from a mobile phone for 10 minutes and evaluated for changes in auditory evoked potentials (EEG response following a series of clicks). No change was detected and none of the subjects reported a deterioration in hearing level. It was concluded that a 10-minute mobile phone exposure had no effect on hearing, at least at outer ear, middle ear and cochlear levels. |

Comments |
|
No dosimetry, mobile phones appeared to be simply "hooked-up" to the network with no known transmit power level |
