900, 1800 MHz (CW, GSM, W-CDMA) exposure to medical ECG and CRT devices and analysis of electromagnetic interference |
Details |

EMI on Electrocardiogram (ECG) devices and cathode ray tube (CRT) computer screens was observed using mobile phones, apparently hooked up to the network but measured in terms of power output. The authors report EMI effects on ECG devices at close proximity and at field strengths of 3.55E+03V/m, corresponding to a distance of ~ 55 cm. In addition, CRT displays were affected at a distance of 9cm (7.16E+04V/m) in the front and 14cm (2.97E+04V/m) from the back. The authors suggest maintaining an appropriate separation distance to mitigate EMI effects. |
