Model Occupational radiofrequency exposure to workers in combination other agents and correlation with brain tumors
Details

Primary brain tumor patients (n=139) in Israel diagnosed from 1987 to 1991 were compared to controls, assessing many occupational categories including RF. The authors report no elevated risk with the occupational category ‘electric and electronics manufacture, and communication’ although this category had only 8 cases. For malignant brain tumors, based on only 4 cases, an association was reported, although not significant (OR 2.2, 95% CI 0.5 - 9.3). The category ‘telephone and radio operators and electricians’ give an OR of 1.2 (95% CI 0.3 - 5.2), although this was based only on 3 cases.
