Study Type In Vitro
Model 836.55 MHz (TDMA) exposure to cell lines and analysis of growth
Details

C6 glioblastoma cells and non-transformed primary cultures of rat glial cells were exposed in a TEM cell to 836.55 MHz TDMA at 0.23, 2.3, or 23 mW/kg. Changes in proliferation rate were determined by 3H-thymidine uptake. Although small but statistically significant (20-40%) increases were observed in DNA synthesis in some experiments (3 of 8 assays) using C6 cultures, no statistically significant change in proliferation rate was observed when the entire set of experiments in either C6 or primary glial cultures was pooled and analyzed together.
